I come to Lucky Penny Press with extensive experience in business management and administrative support across diverse sectors, including non-profits, universities, and private practices. Skilled in creating compelling and articulate media assets, including newsletters, marketing content, and promotional materials, I am excited to help your business reach and connect with its intended audience. I hold an MA in English Literature from the University of Vermont, where I refined my analytical writing skills. In my free time, I am a visual artist, working across mediums including oil painting, ceramics, and graphic design. My background in both the arts and business allows me to bring a unique, creative perspective to every project, ensuring that each one resonates with its audience and achieves lasting impact.

I have spent the last several years working in higher education -  spanning teaching, administrative support, and curriculum development. My wealth of experience in this sector - in addition to my strong foundation in copywriting and editing - has further sharpened my ability to manage complex projects, communicate with clarity, and approach challenges with strategic insight. At Lucky Penny, I apply these skills to help small businesses and non-profits grow. I hold an MA in English Literature from the University of Vermont, where I also had the privilege of teaching for several years. Beyond work, I operate a music blog where I refine my writing, editing, and web design skills. I’m passionate about helping small businesses and non-profit organizations elevate their brand with clear, intentional, and meaningful messaging.

The real brains of the operation. Lucky Penny is named after Sarah’s beloved family dog, Penelope. At 14 years of age, she remains a symbol of loyalty, determination, and warmth - qualities we find integral to our approach.
